Feb 19, 2007 - Hercules ROPS caused a stir at WAE this year, when it alerted farmers and landowners to the alarming statistics relating to tractor rollover injury and death in America.
According to Hercules ROPS' Managing Director, Martin Cooper, "Over 250 Americans die each year in tractor crush-related accidents."
"Tractor rollover deaths have been virtually eliminated in countries such as Sweden and Australia, where a ROPS is mandatory on all tractors."
"The operator is not the only casualty. We have received letters from or spoken to many families who have lost a loved one in a tractor rollover and who clearly remain devastated, even after many years.
"In the overwhelming majority of cases, these tragic tractor deaths could have been prevented had a ROPS been fitted", Mr Cooper said.
Hercules drew a favorable response from Ag Machinery Dealers, who welcomed the availability of affordable, retrofit ROPS. The ability to fit a certified ROPS, allows Dealers to on-sell trade-ins with confidence. In the past they have often had to sell trade-ins for scrap.

Held in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley-Tulare, California, WAE is the biggest Ag show in the world and this year, had a record 110,000 visitors from 60 countries.
